Treatments - Modesto Spine and Injury

Fascial Distortion Model (F.D.M.) was developed by Dr. Stephen Typaldos, D.O. This model breaks down all soft tissue injuries into one or more of six different alterations of the connective tissue. The patient’s history and pain descriptions along with a detailed physical assessment will lead Dr. Falke to a specific diagnosis and an objective outcome. No other soft tissue approach can reproduce the outcomes repetitively across the board as well as we can!

Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) is a soft tissue therapy that combines skilled evaluation with movement-based massage to remove the dense scar tissue that surrounds an over-used muscle and the adjoining tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves, whether from an acute injury (such as a fall or car accident) or repetitive-motion injuries.  This scar tissue causes pressure that weakens the muscles.  In a treatment session, Dr. Falke uses his hands to evaluate the soft tissue of the affected area–its texture, tightness, and range of motion.  Then he combines precise, direct pressure and guides the patient through specific movements in order to break down the scar tissue, relieving pain and increasing mobility.  A typical treatment lasts about 20 minutes.
